29 Jan Welcome, Zac to CRA!
CRA is excited to welcome Zac to our Kentucky location, and he is joining our team as a staff archaeologist.
Zac was born and raised in Humboldt County, California, just south of Oregon, in Eureka. He now lives in Cynthiana, Kentucky, with his wife, Lindsay. They run a music and vintage shop called Institute Records & Curiosities in the haunted Rohs Opera House.
Zac completed his undergraduate degree at Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA. He then received his master’s degree at Brigham Young University and completed his Ph.D. at the University of California.
He and his wife have two cats, Felix and Giovanni. The two cats torture their parents by constantly begging for food, and Zac and Lindsay torture the cats by making them wear human clothes for holiday photoshoots.
His favorite thing about archaeology is uncovering the different ways of looking at and understanding the world. In archaeology, we only have trace remains of these points of view but are able to reveal practices that are markedly different from our own.
