Mason Niquette Named New CRA President

Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc. (CRA), is excited to announce Mason Niquette as the new company President. Mason will assume the responsibilities of day-to-day operations and continue to lead CRA in the success it has achieved over the last 40 years. Mason comes to CRA with a decade of experience in a wide variety of geographic areas and brings innovative ideas to the cultural resource management field.

Mason has been involved in cultural resource management (CRM) his entire life, but his real passion for the industry started when he pursued his degree in anthropology. During and after college, he also worked for CRA and other CRM firms learning the ins and outs of every position from Field Technician to Principal Investigator. In addition to his archaeological project experience from both CRM and academic projects, Mason specializes in geoarchaeological techniques and theory.

During his time at CRA Mason has not only excelled as a Principal Investigator, but he has gone above and beyond when analyzing and pursuing ways to help CRA continue to succeed. His dedication to excellence and his varied experience in archaeology will serve him well in his new role at CRA.

He was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, before attending Sewanee: The University of the South. He continued his education at the University of Kansas and successfully defended his dissertation in December of 2022. Mason’s dissertation focused on stratigraphic contexts and the site formation processes affecting a dry, deeply stratified rockshelter in the Big Bend region of Texas.

Chuck Niquette will continue to serve as CEO of CRA and as a resource for Mason. Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc., is eager to see what new heights Mason leads the company to.
