CRA Receives Outstanding Achievement Award from Indiana SHPO

At the 2018 Preserving Historic Places Conference (Indiana’s Statewide Preservation Conference), CRA received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Indiana Department of Historic Preservation and Archaeology for our work on Residential Planning and Development in Indiana, 1940-1973, a statewide Multiple Property Document Form (MPDF) for the National Register of Historic Places. Alan Higgins, Director of Architectural and Cultural History at CRA, was the project manager. He and his team spent 1-½ years surveying, researching, and evaluating the almost 900,000 housing units constructed in Indiana between 1940 until 1973. The end result was a 337-page document submitted to and accepted by the National Park Service on February 27, 2018. CRA is proud to have worked on this initiative with the SHPO and looks forward to continuing to serve as a leader in documentation and assessment of modern and recent past resources.
