12 Mar CRA Supporting RISE WV Flood Recovery Program

CRA’s West Virginia office is working with the Marshall University Research Center in Huntington, West Virginia to provide Section 106 services for the RISE WV program. This program is overseen by the West Virginia National Guard, and assists the extremely low, very low, and low-income West Virginians with the repair or reconstruction of single-family housing and single-family rental units affected by the June 2016 flood in 12 West Virginia counties. CRA archaeologists and architectural historians are reviewing and evaluating each application to ensure that any historic properties that may be present are identified, and that the effects of the program on any historic properties are considered during the rehabilitation or reconstruction.
