Sidney Travis is a Staff Archaeologist at CRA’s Evansville office in Indiana. She has a master’s in anthropology from Ball State University and a bachelor’s in anthropology from Ohio University. Sidney specialized in faunal analysis at BSU through contracted projects and master’s research. Before joining the CRA family, Sidney performed surveys, wrote a technical report, and designed map documents for a multitude of projects witBSU’s’s Applied Anthropology Laboratories.

Sidney is highly interested in faunal analysis and taphonomy, which translates into one of her favorite hobbies- collecting animal bones. You best believe she will be the only one excited to come across bones in the field and always goes out prepped with baggies to hold her findings. Besides collecting bones, she also enjoys painting, reading, Netflix binging, and playing video games in her free time.
