Heather Hartlage was first hired as a field technician at CRA and later joined the Knoxville office staff after completing her master’s degree from the University of Dundee. She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University. Her main interests lie in forensic anthropology and bioarchaeology, with a special research interest in differing results within adult metric sex estimation methods. While in graduate school, she was able to study the Scheuer Collection, the only active juvenile skeletal remains repository in the world.
When she has spare time, Heather enjoys traveling, spending time with her friends and family, being outdoors, drawing, cooking, and reading fantasy novels.
