Eric Albertson joined CRA in 2020 and has served as a Principal Investigator in the Shreveport, Louisiana and West Fork, Arkansas offices. His responsibilities include proposal and budget development, project management and field supervision, technical writing of project reports, and assistance with artifact analysis. He holds a MA in Anthropology with a concentration in Public Archaeology. Over the past three decades, he has directed or otherwise participated in numerous archaeological studies at all levels of investigation throughout the southeastern United States. Eric has also directed numerous, successful, World War II MIA/KIA search and recovery missions in the Central Pacific. His primary research interests surround the prehistoric Central Mississippi Valley, although he has extensive historic and prehistoric archaeological experience throughout the remainder of the Southeast. During his career he has authored or co-authored numerous publications including technical reports, peer-reviewed journal articles, contributed book chapters, and research volumes.
Outside of archaeology, Eric is an avid fly fisherman, maintains an extensive collection of carnivorous plants, and enjoys cooking and traveling with his wife Mairi.
