NPS QUALIFICATION(S)

Bridget Cone joined CRA in 2024 and serves as Laboratory Director in the Louisiana Office. She has primarily worked in Louisiana and North Carolina and participated in a laboratory-based project in Romania. Bridget is responsible for planning and coordinating laboratory processing and analyses, coordinating with curatorial repositories, preparing collections for the final disposition of artifacts and project records, and contributing to technical reports.

 

She studied at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA from 2015 to 2019. During that time, she volunteered at the Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services (FACES) Laboratory, studying human osteological collections and assisting with casework. After graduating, she participated in the Adult Osteology Research Workshop in Romania, analyzing and inventorying humans remains from 16th-17th cemetery burials. In 2020, Bridget enrolled in the graduate program at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC where she assisted in the excavation of a 19th century family burial vault in New Bern, NC.  She graduated with her masters in 2023 assessing skeletal evidence of health and lifestyles from historic urban and rural skeletal populations in eastern North Carolina.

 

In her free time, Bridget enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and spoiling her cat.
