Amber Hill has over 10 years of experience in the archaeological field. She completed her bachelor’s degree in anthropology at Kent State University in 2004. She also attended Hocking College with a focus on archaeology and GIS technologies. Amber has experience supervising field surveys, writing technical reports, and excavating various historic and prehistoric archaeological sites. She is also well versed in laboratory methodology. She participates in the processes of preparing artifacts and paperwork for museum curation from numerous sites within various states. Amber also performs background research for sites and projects within West Virginia in the archives of the West Virginia State Historic Office. She has performed a multitude of phase I, II, and III archaeological investigations. Amber has recently become the Office Manager for the West Virginia Office. Her responsibilities include maintaining the office machines, answering phones, assisting with project billing and other administrative duties. She enjoys, both, the physical and mental challenges of fieldwork and the analytical aspect of the laboratory process as well as the logistics of office management.
