NPS QUALIFICATION(S)

Kate Hatfield joined CRA in 2024. As an architectural historian, her responsibilities include researching and documenting historic properties by conducting archival research and field surveys, evaluating the significance of historic properties, and preparing written reports that provide summary findings and recommendations.

 

Kate holds a Master of Historic Preservation degree from Middle Tennessee State University. While at MTSU she worked on a wide variety of projects in Middle Tennessee, but her thesis research focused on the history of Nashville’s Edgehill, and the effects urban renewal and gentrification have had on the historic neighborhood. Kate also worked as a graduate assistant at MTSU’s Center for Historic Preservation while pursuing her master’s degree.

 

In her free time she enjoys reading, music, and What We Do in the Shadows.
