Karen Taylor has traveled extensively and worked in a variety of jobs (including mucking out horse stalls!), and found archaeology relatively late in life. She had no idea what she was missing. It has become her passion and she cannot seem to learn enough – fast enough. When she first started doing archaeology, her skills were limited, but this was short lived. She can now dig with the best, understand dirt, and take pride in her ability to document what she finds in and on the ground. She loves new challenges and is constantly finding out new things about the archaeological record, but perhaps more importantly, about herself! She has evaluated a handful of historic cemeteries and now realizes that this is what she most enjoys about her job.
