Holly Higgins joined CRA in April 2011. She received her bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Evansville in 2004 and has a thing for courthouses. It was this fascination with courthouses that led her to pursue historic preservation. She received her master’s degree from Ball State University in historic preservation in 2008. Holly’s other interests include main street revitalization, apprenticed trained architects and state and local history, specifically that of her hometown, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Holly has conducted field surveys throughout Indiana and Kentucky. She has written historic structures reports for Indiana State Historic Sites. Her responsibilities at CRA include archival research, conducting field surveys, evaluating the significance of historic properties, writing National Register nominations and creating interpretive signage for wayside exhibits.
Outside of work, Holly enjoys cooking, wine tasting, traveling and photography. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her son and husband.
