Abby Helton joined CRA in 2008 and serves as the Office Manager and Accounting Assistant for the corporate headquarters. As Accounting Assistant, her responsibilities include job costing, collecting and maintaining time sheets for the offices, updating and maintaining the Work In Progress (WIP) reports on a weekly basis, entering budgets for new projects, and performing cost analysis for projects.
In November 2006, Abby was one of 33 people selected to become an intern for the National Geographic Society. She served in the Education and Children’s Programs Department where she assisted with a geography awareness campaign called “My Wonderful World.” After four months, Abby returned back to her home state of Kentucky to finish her last semester at the University of Kentucky.
Abby completed her bachelor's degree in geography and plans to further her education by taking more courses in the field of accounting.
Away from work, Abby enjoys gardening, cooking, watching a variety of movies, and working on her house. She is a trained vocalist in classical, Broadway, and rock music, which has faired well in her quest to beat Rock Band. Abby spends her free time with her husband Austin and their five kids, Axle and Twiggy (cats), Boogie (dog) Ichabod (dog), and Melrose, the papillon (dog). As a self-proclaimed lover of all animals, all of her pets are rescues and Abby has been a very strict vegetarian since the age of 13.
