Jenny Faberson has several years of archaeological field and laboratory experience in the midwestern and southeastern United States. She earned her bachelor's degree in 2004 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and has since pursued a career in historic materials research.
Since joining the CRA team in 2006, she has completed historic materials analysis on over 25 historic sites in the Ohio Valley region. She has also been a contributing author on over 15 cultural resource management reports. Jenny is currently conducting research on container glass and tobacco pipes to ensure the CRAI laboratory has the most up-to-date research information. Her responsibilities include the identification of historic artifacts, cataloguing historic materials, specialized research and analyses, technical report writing, and assisting the Laboratory Director.
In the past, Jenny’s research has included urban archaeology; women’s history from 1750 to 1945; nationalism; and inequalities regarding sex, race, and gender.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time at home with her partner and daughters, practicing softball with her older daughter, spending time with their pets, landscaping, cooking, and doing many different crafts.
