Nate Alley holds a Master of Science degree specializing in GIS and Remote Sensing from Colorado State University, a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management also from CSU, and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He has over 5 years of experience using Geographic Information Systems with respect to land-use planning, and resource management. He has developed maps and prepared data for use by various CBM and Natural Gas Developers in both the Powder River Valley and Jonah Gas Field in Wyoming. His work in Cultural Resource Management involves a variety of cartography requirements for use in reports to the Bureau of Land Management, and also field experience in archaeological survey, site testing and construction monitoring.
Personal projects include conservation work in Ethiopia with regard to risk assessment for wildlife populations and habitat. He recently got married, and enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs exploring and taking advantage of the many recreational opportunities the Big Horn mountains provide, including wildlife watching, camping, fishing, and hiking. He also enjoys traveling abroad, experiencing new and different cultures, and cuisine.
