Architectural Historian
Alessio Luna joined CRA with experience as a historic preservationist, consultant, public historian, and architectural historian, having worked with the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, Florida State University, the Native American & Indigenous Studies Center, and the Collier County Museums. At CRA, he researches and documents historic properties through archival research and field surveys, evaluates their significance, and prepares written reports with findings and recommendations.
Alessio holds a Master of History in Public History from Florida State University and a Bachelor’s in Communication from Florida Gulf Coast University. His graduate work focused on architectural history, historic preservation, and preservation planning, including a capstone project surveying a historic town in Mayo, Florida, and creating a Historic Structure Report and StoryMap for the Lafayette County Courthouse. His research emphasizes preservation and community development in under-resourced and economically disadvantaged areas.
Outside of work, Alessio enjoys traveling, playing basketball, walking in parks, and cheering on the Florida Panthers, Miami Heat, Dolphins, and Arsenal FC.
